Children’s Service Council of St. Lucie County

Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County is a 20-year-old agency that uses dedicated property tax revenue to improve the lives of children and families in St. Lucie County. The mission of the Children’s Services Council  is to improve the quality of life for all children in St. Lucie County.

Florida Department of Children & Families

The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) has adopted an integrated approach to programs and services in order to help improve the lives of individuals and families. DCF works to protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self-sufficient families, and advance personal and family recovery and resiliency. The agency protects children, the elderly and the disabled from abuse and neglect. It is responsible for nearly 19,000 children in foster care, as well as finding permanent homes for children who cannot safety be reunited with their families.

United Way of St. Lucie County

The mission of United Way of St. Lucie County is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another. The agency is advancing the common good by creating long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place. It brings together people from all across the community to tackle the issues that matter most. If it requires fundraising, speaking out, or just getting people to work together, that’s what they do.

United for Families

United for Families is a non-profit agency charged with developing community-based services and supports for children and families served by the child welfare system in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties. The agency’s mission is to break the cycle of child abuse through a diverse network of community partners and innovative services.
